Zeus has been a beloved member of our family for over 10 years. He’s an 11-year-old border/collie boxer mix who has filled our lives with joy, from running 5ks by my side to greeting every guest at our door with a wagging tail and a warm welcome. He’s always been full of energy and love, making every day brighter for everyone he meets.

Recently, Zeus faced a serious health challenge. He needed emergency surgery to remove a mass the size of a baseball attached to his elbow. The procedure was so complex that it required removal down to the bone. Zeus is already showing signs of his old spirit, he even managed to sneak onto the couch when he wasn’t supposed to!

His recovery will require daily vet visits for bandage changes, gradual re-stitching of the skin due to the mass removing most of it, as well as pain, sedation, and antibiotic medications to help him heal comfortably and safely.

Unfortunately he was recently diagnosed with grade 3 soft tissue sarcoma, a fast growing cancer with a high risk of spreading to his lungs. 

We’ve already covered $2,500 toward his medical expenses, but the costs continue to add up and are estimated to be over $5,000 with oncology treatment. 

Any funds raised will go toward his surgery, ongoing vet care and chemotherapy.

We want nothing more than to see Zeus enjoy his senior years with the same happiness and playfulness he’s always had and extend his time hear as long as possible.
