Help Us Give Zeus a Chance at Life with His Treatment

Today I find myself writing something I never thought I would have to ask for.
I want to share the story of Zeus—our dog, our companion, and the emotional support of our family for the last 10 years.

Zeus has been with us through our happiest moments and our most difficult ones.
He was there when our son was born 2 years ago: I was in intense labor pain and he stayed by my side, even following me to the bathroom because he could feel what I was going through. During the first months of my baby’s life, he slept in front of the crib like a noble, silent guardian. He has lived with us through joys, losses, victories, financial struggles, tears, and moments of growth.

Zeus is not just a dog—
he is a trained emotional support animal, and he has also been part of my therapeutic work.
He has calmed children, accompanied families, and supported the emotional healing of patients who still remember him with gratitude. Many people were helped because of his nobility, his tenderness, and his intuition.

Two months ago, he began showing symptoms that veterinarians initially assumed were simple urinary infections. However, after spending all our savings on tests, ultrasounds, and consultations not covered by our insurance, we finally received a devastating diagnosis:
Zeus has advanced prostate cancer, with a prognosis of only 2 to 4 months to live without treatment.

For us, it doesn’t feel right to give up without offering him the same chance any human would receive:
chemotherapy and radiation therapy—to give him quality of life, relieve his pain, and allow him more time with his family.

Some people have told us to put him to sleep to avoid suffering. But we see him fighting. We see his will to live, his tail wagging when he sees us, his desire to keep being here for us. And we feel in our hearts that he deserves his chance.

I have never asked anyone for financial help. This is the first time.
But we cannot afford the cost of treatment, especially after using all our savings for his diagnosis, special food, diapers, medications, and cleaning his wound and bleeding.

This is why today I turn to everyone who knows him—friends, family, colleagues, clients, and anyone Zeus has ever supported emotionally or therapeutically—to ask for a gesture of love for him.

If Zeus ever accompanied you, made you laugh, calmed you, supported you, or simply touched your heart with his kindness… today is the moment to give back a little of everything he gave.

Every donation, no matter how small, brings us closer to giving our dog the chance to fight.
And if you cannot donate, sharing this campaign is also a great help.

Thank you for reading, for supporting us, for loving Zeus, and for sharing to give us hope—just as we love him.
From the heart, with love and gratitude—thank you.
