Help Zero the Stray get through parvovirus!
Donation protected
As some of you may know, last week my friend and I found a scared, stray pitbull running loose on the highway in North Sacramento.

After 15 minutes of slow, gentle work, we managed to get close enough to the pup to restrain him. He was very timid and shaking head to toe...BUT, after 5 minutes in the car with us he began relaxing and cuddling!

This male, intact pitty was colarless with no microchip, covered in ticks and fleas. We immediately reached out to see if anyone would claim him-but no one came forward.
We found a foster (and hopefully forever home!), got him set up for a vet appointment and he began loving life.
He has been named Zero!

Unfortunately, Zero became acutely sick and had to be admitted to the emergency room for treatment of parvovirus, which he most likely had contracted shortly before we found him.
We are SO glad that we found this sweet boy, and his future family is already falling in love with him. BUT, parvovirus is very deadly and requires intensive hospitalization for at least 2 and maybe 3 days, and his bill is quickly climbing (minimum $2,000 and upwards of $3,500).
Because we found this boy quite unexpectedly, we nor his future family were prepared for this massive cost. His future family had already scheduled his vaccines and neuter, and began looking into pet insurance, but the fates were against us.
We are so lucky to have the opportunity to help a sweet pup get the lavish, snuggle-filled life he deserves. He has already brought so much emotional support and smiles to us, and we want to give the love back to him.
Please consider even a tiny donation to help ease the financial stress of trying to get this boy settled on the right path!
We appreciate you!
