Our little sausage was recently diagnosed with a mast cell tumor. Mast cell tumors are notoriously difficult to treat, as they are somewhat unpredictable and can act very aggressively. Zep is only 4 years old with plenty more frisbees to fetch! 

Zeppelin will need surgery to remove the tumor. Luckily, the vets believe that it is a low grade tumor and that surgery will completely eliminate the cancer.  The tumor is in a precarious spot, right next to his little nub tail, so there is a chance they will not be able to remove the whole tumor.  If that happens, he will have to undergo chemo/radiation, but we are hoping it doesn't come to that! 

If you know us well, you know how much Zeppelin means to us and if you know Zep, you know how fucking awesome he is. He is the best listener, best fetcher, best belly flopper, best snuggler, best wiggle butt, and definitely the cutest dog in the universe (my completely unbiased opinion). 

We are still unsure about the exact cost. To paraphrase the vet, it will be "expensive AF."  We would appreciate any contribution to help us pay for Zep's medical bills!
