My name is Abby and I am the owner and operator of Zephyr Air Studio in St. Paul, Minnesota. My desire in opening Zephyr Air was to create a safe space to share my love of fitness, strength training, and aerial arts. My studio opened in the fall of this year, and although classes are underway, I have faced some unexpected hurdles to its development and growth.

My purpose in creating this GoFundMe was to both spread the word about my studio, help me with legal fees, and to finance significant improvements to the studio space and its advertisement so I can continue to share my vision with "anyone looking for a space to simply be you." (*Check out my website

I feel that when supporting a person or cause, you should know who or what you are supporting. So I'd like to tell you a bit about myself.

I was born and raised in St. Paul, MN (still here!). I earned my Bachelors of Kinesiology from The University of Minnesota. While in college, I joined the US Army MN National Guard and served for 2 years. My military career abruptly ended when I permanently injured my ankle and foot, leading to an early discharge. In light of my injuries, I wanted to learn how to remain active, and then my desire grew to share that knowledge with others who could benefit from it. I went on to earn my Masters of Exercise Science from Concordia University in St Paul, MN. I have been an active member of the fitness industry for about 10 years as an instructor, studio manager, performer, and client. Currently I live in Northeast Minneapolis with my fiancé, our 2 cats, and our pitty puppy who keeps us on our toes.

Earlier this year, I was presented with an amazing opportunity: I was offered a space where I could begin my passion project of teaching aerial and studio fitness. Ever since I began my journey in the fitness industry, I knew I wanted to own and run my own space. I am working full-time to make my new studio a success. With rigging and weights already in place, I'm looking for additional funds to achieve the following:

Expanding Advertising and Marketing. Of course, any new enterprise needs to spread the word, and I need help with outreach! This will include physical signage as well as social media promotions. 
Crash Pads. Essential for any aerial studio! Concussions are a sure way to ruin a good thing.
Cleaning Supplies. May seem silly, but I value the cleanliness of my space, and vacuums are expensive.
Legal Fees. I have employed the services of a legal professional and need assistance with the fees.
