Hey y'all! My name is Zenobia, but most people just know me as Z. I’ve been on HRT for a bit now, and while my journey of self love has made my life so much better, there are still some things that hormones simply will not change. Most of which take the form of body and facial dysphoria, particularly my trachea, which has been a substantial source of the existing dysphoria I experience. I have since decided that I’m going to have to do something about it. I am in the process of scheduling a consultation with Dr. Amir Dorafshar, a facial surgeon from Chicago who specializes in transgender patients, but insurance considers this to be an elective procedure, and not essential for my mental or physical well being.
While I may think otherwise, it doesn’t matter, I have no choice but to reach out and ask for help in alleviating one of my biggest and most “clocky” insecurities. Thank you to anybody who has or plans on donating to any capacity, everything truly does help <3
