Zenia’s Battle

I really don’t know where to start, but I’m making this GoFundMe because I’m simply in a place where I can use extra help. My name is Zenia, and I have an amazing 8-year-old son that I adore.

Back in 2023, my life changed. I was diagnosed with breast cancer, and instead of celebrating my 36th birthday, I was undergoing chemotherapy. I was in my new career field as a Teacher Assistant when I had to step back due to the side effects and me staying sick. I spent 4 years enjoying the classroom and students. Although I had to step back, I was blessed to be able to stay in the educational field as a substitute teacher.

Time went on, and things seemed to be looking up. I went through chemo, surgery, and radiation. 2025 was supposed to be my comeback year, but things changed for the worse. I stayed in and out of the hospital due to my weak immune system and being unable to fight off infections. Now, I’m unable to work steadily at my summer job. For the first time this summer, I was unable to do a summer trip with my son.

This month (July), I was back in the hospital for rare blood clots on my spleen and liver. As July comes to a close and August approaches, I’m unable to get my son school supplies and clothing. I reside with my elderly mom who’s on a fixed income and going through her own health issues. I’m not asking for much, just a little help in a time of need.
