I Broke Her Heart Once Trying to Help… Please Help Me Save Her This Time.

--My name is Tiffany, and I’m begging for help for my dog, Zena — my heart, my comfort, and the one soul who never leaves my side.

Zena has a swollen lymph node in her neck/throat that grew so large it started to burst and is leaking fluid (blood). She keeps shaking her head, she is uncomfortable, and I’m terrified something serious is going on. Her vet appointment is tomorrow, November 10, 2025, and I don’t have the money for the tests or treatment she may urgently need.

I’m waiting on workers' comp, and until they pay me, I have nothing left to fall back on. I haven't worked since August 1, 2025, because of my injury.

Earlier this year, in April, I surrendered Zena out of pure desperation, thinking it was the only way she could get medical care. (She was having seizures.) It shattered both of us. She shut down so completely that the APL told me they couldn’t help her. I called every single day, crying so hard the staff could barely understand me.

They know both of us by name — Tiffany and Zena — because of how devastated we were.

After 3 unbearable days, I went back and got her. When she saw me, her entire spirit came back. Since that day, she hasn’t left my side once. Our bond is unbreakable.

And now she’s sick again.

I’m scared, I can’t lose her.

I can’t let her suffer anymore just because I’m still waiting on workers' comp.
