Help Zena get Stanley Service Dog Training
Donation protected
Hello! My name is Zena Myers and I am 23 years old. I have a rare genetic connective tissue disorder called hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (hEDS), as well as a functional movement disorder and Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS). These conditions are disabling, but could be helped by a service dog.
Stanley is my service dog from Flat Collar K9 Training LLC in Waynesville, MO. He helps me walk more steadily - to the point where I don't need a mobility aid for short distances, alerts to my neck spasms - which is my most disabling symptom; alerts are natural responses and not trained, stays with me until help arrives when I pass out, retrieves items, gets medicine when I have flareups, deep pressure therapy, and more!
I cannot work with my health conditions, so I am unable to save. My mother is a single mom and a teacher in Oklahoma, so she cannot help much either. We are reliant on your support to make this dream into a reality.
Any excess funds will go towards gear for Stanley, dog food, treats for ongoing training, emergency medical funds for him, and other service dog related expenses. Thank you for your support!! We couldn't do this without your help.
