This fundraiser is for Zelda, my cat and best friend of 14 years. I've had Zelda since she was a little kitten, and she's been by my side for most of my life. This last Sunday she had suddenly gotten sick, and her health has gotten to the point of requiring emergency care. The vets believe she is going through a Diabetic shock due to recent stress. This has impacted both her Kidneys and her Liver, and has put her in a state where she is lethargic, wobbly, and refusing to eat or drink water.

Anyone who knows Zelda knows how loud and active she normally is. To see her behavior change entirely in a matter of days has been heartbreaking. She is currently in hospital care, as the vets are doing their best to get her out of a critical condition and back to health. Since entering their care, her blood sugar levels have stabilized, her heart rate has improved, and she is slowly showing signs of getting better- but we are not out of the woods yet. The doctors are recommending continued hospital care for the time being as they form a treatment plan.

These are emergency circumstances, and the costs are unfortunately way more than what we can bear. Regardless, we're doing what we can to get Zelda the treatment she needs. All funds would go towards covering her emergency services. She is a fighter- even now she's still pushing herself to get herself to get up again when she can.
