Help Zelda Complete Her FIP Treatment

We found out October 19th, 2021 that Zelda has a very rare condition called FIP, which is causing a fluid build up inside of her abdomen. It is extremely unpredictable and rare, and we were initially told there is no cure or vaccine out there for this illness. The veterinarian said she most likely would not have much longer with us based off of how big her abdomen has gotten. Pretty soon here, our poor baby is going to start not eating and drinking, which means it’ll be her time. At only 6 months old, and only having her with us for not even a month at diagnosis time, we are not ready to lose her and can tell she isn’t ready to lose us.

I was connected with a group that helps treat kittens for this horrible virus, and has shown great success rates with an injectable medicine called GS-441524, which has shown an 80% cure rate during the UC Davis study trials. Because this drug is not officially endorsed or approved, it is going to be costly. Each vial is expensive and we will have to get constant blood work done for her to make sure it’s working during the 12 week treatment. If you can spare anything to help us during this time, we would really appreciate it.

I would never forgive myself if I didn’t at least try for my little kitten. Anything helps, including sharing this GoFundMe page, so thank you for your time.
