Hi everyone!
My name is Alicia and this is my sweet boy Zeke. On July 5th, Zeke suddenly became paralyzed in his hind legs, and we rushed him to the emergency vet. There, we found out he was preliminarily diagnosed with Intervertebral Disc Disease, also known as IVDD. With this, he has lost all mobility and feeling in his hind legs, as well as having no bladder control. We are choosing to go the conservative route for therapy. This means a minimum of 8 weeks of strict crate rest and medicine. It also means he will need laser and acupuncture treatments, as well as physical therapy. Zeke is 105 pounds of pure love, so transporting him to a vet is impossible right now. We are raising funds for a mobile vet, which is a lot more expensive, to be able to get the treatment he needs as well as his medications.
Zeke is only 8 years old, and we are wanting to do everything we can to give him a fighting chance at recovery. He is our first family dog and we love him so so much. It is so heartbreaking to see him like this. If you have the means and would like to contribute to helping my boy hopefully walk again, please donate. No donation is too small. And if you can’t donate, a share or a prayer would be appreciated. Thank you so much!!
