Help Ze'ev Sydney Get to Habonim Dror Shnat 2025

Hello, we are Ze’ev Sydney, a group of community minded and passionate Year 12 students in Habonim Dror Sydney from over four different schools who are hoping to go on the 2025 Habonim Dror Shnat Hachshara (Year of Preparation) program. While the cost of the program is not 100% confirmed, on a general basis it will range from $25000-$40000 per person and as a group we believe that none of us should miss out on this opportunity due to the expense. We look to raise money to support the cost of the trip for everyone and will split all money on the basis of equity.

Habonim Dror Australia Shnat Hachshara is an intensive 10 month education and leadership program in lsrael involving learning about the creation of the State of lsrael and the modern day state whilst actively volunteering in communities across lsrael. In the context of the current conflict, we believe that there is nothing more important than making the active decision to go to lsrael, help out communities and equip ourselves with broader perspectives about global issues.

As a group we have extensively demonstrated our commitment to leadership and activism within our community, all taking part in the Habonim Dror Madatzimot program as well as volunteering our time at other Jewish and non-Jewish organisations. Through the informal education process of Shnat, we will learn about youth empowerment and social activism, equipping us to return to the Sydney community as impassioned leaders within our movement and the wider Jewish community.
