️⚧️ ZEEK HAS A TOP SURGERY DATE!!️ ⚧️
My name is Tuck and I’ve been married to my sweet husband, Zeek (pictured with our fur babies, Storm and Moose) for almost 3 years. Both being black and trans/nonbinary, we reluctantly moved from our home, in Georgia, to New England, in 2022 for access to better gender affirming care, and more forgiving discrimination laws. Since the election, we’ve had to accelerate our timeline on getting all our documents together, and any surgeries done, in case we lose access. I was fortunate enough to have my top surgery in April 2023 and we now have a surgery date for Zeek, almost 2 years later to the day! We’ve put a $625 deposit down but still have the remainder of $3930 in surgical fees to pay by March 13th or their surgery will be rescheduled and we’ll lose our deposit. Surgeries book months ahead and with the loss of money and scheduling time off work it’s likely we’d have to wait til next year if this is the case and by then they might have chopped them off themselves lol. Zeek will be out of work for a while and we will need hundreds in recovery supplies. Between the recent move, a second surgery in the span of 2 years, plus the document fees being unexpectedly pricey, this will once again take every drop of our money and more. We’re both very hardworking but we just don’t have the family support, financial or otherwise, needed to get thru all of this unassisted. Anything you have to give would mean a lot to us. ❤️
