help zee with their urgent dental needs!

after debating for a while and running out of other options, i've decided to reach out to my community (you!) and ask for this much needed help for my extensive dental needs.

my name is zee (they/them), we might know each other (or not) but thank you for being here.

even with the new canadian dental care program, the estimated cost i have to gather (14,000$ before any deductions) for my dental procedures is simply impossible for me to reach on my own and even on my own would take years to afford only one of the many appointments planned. my CDCP coverage ends July 30 2026.

i was told by my dentist that most of the work is covered by the CDCP (coverage is around 30-50%) which helps greatly but a lot of the reconstruction work isn't categorized as medical in CDCP's opinion therefore isn’t applicable for any deduction.

the most pressing issue is a fractured molar that happened back in 2021 that is at risk of complete removal if not treated soon as well as another removal if a root canal isn’t done on one of my back tooth. on top of that, these two procedures NEEDS to be taken care of as soon as possible, definitely in the next month or two...

last summer, i had to have an emergency dental surgery that caused a domino effect of very severe complications that sent me to ER many times in the span of a month and a half and i've been feeling so defeated since about how to navigate and imagine an end to the hell this dental journey has been...

needless to say, this whole thing has caused immense amount of stress on top of just being poor in general. i feel insane amount of guilt for asking for financial help in such times where we all struggle but i hope my explained situation grants me the position to be graced with any assistance.

anything truly helps that it's financially or by sharing my gfm!
