This is our dog Zee. Some of you know him, some don't. He recently hyperextended his leg chasing after a bird in the park. He has successfully torn all the ligaments in his front right leg. He requires a very extensive and very expensive orthopedic surgery to fuse a bunch of his bones together and looks forward to a minimum of 8 weeks of recovery. He will never walk quite the same again; he will always have a bit of an awkward gait. But with the surgery, he will be able to run and play again without pain. We are working-class people and are struggling to figure out how to pay for this surgery and still be able to afford rent. That is why we are reaching out to you: friends, family, and our wonderful Carbondale community for help. Any little bit will help us toward our goal and is deeply appreciated. Please help us let our dog be a dog again, and not a sad lump on the couch.
