Many of you have walked this road with Zbyszek before. When a severe infection cost him his leg, you came together to help him get his first prosthesis. When it wore out, you showed up again so he could replace it and keep his independence. Each time, your generosity gave him back his mobility and his ability to live life on his own terms. He has never stopped being grateful.

Now Zbyszek is facing another setback. About four months ago, a serious infection in his other foot led to an extended hospital stay and the amputation of several toes and part of the foot. His recovery has been long and is still ongoing, and through all of it he's shown the same quiet strength he always has.

The hard reality is that he hasn't been able to work since, and won't be able to until he's healed. In the meantime, the basics - rent, food, getting by - have become a real worry.

This fundraiser will help Zbyszek cover his essential living expenses during his recovery, so he can focus on healing instead of how to keep a roof over his head. Every contribution, no matter the size, goes directly toward getting him through until he can stand on his own again.
