Hello everyone my name is amber melancon this little girl u see in the photos is a remarkable daughter zayiah .. she is my second to youngest child and I have 5 altogether ... These last few years have been really. God has gotten us through every trial and tribulation this far but this time this moment in time has been hard .. I've prepared as much as I could to put my life and work on hult to save my girl and give her a chance at a normal life with this surgery.. during what was supposed to be a 10 surgery on September 12 2024 turned into a 6 hr partial surgery due to her spinal fluid sack being niched while implanting a screw into her lower back this cause zayiah to loose complete mobility and feeling to her left leg so surgery was immediately stopped till further inspection was confirmed that the spinal wasn't majorly damaged but she still has no mobility in that leg .. so on the following Monday Sept 15 we went into surgery for a second time with little hope and what turned from a only spinal injury and fear to a foot injury was added so we was originally was only planning on spending a week in new Orleans I'm currently just starting a new job but again it's been put on hold and due to my daughter medical issues from surgery we spend 11 days in ochners in new Orleans and now have been transported to children's where we will spend anywhere from a week to a month in this rehab spilt fixing our baby girl... But this has thrown a huge curve ball for this single mom of 5 .. what am I gonna do I can't afford to even really eat here much less take care of my bills and the other children that are still home ... Between medical billing issues I have have had to come outta pocket for hotel rooms for the first 5 days my food 3 times a day my kids r home and need essicentails I'm at a crossroads as to what to do and where to turn .

I never expected us to be here longer than a week nor have I ever expected her to wake up on that operating table unable to walk now I sit here in the only rehab in Louisiana that provides needs to her medicate only paid for so much I'm having to come outta pocket for foot and back braces wheel chair for home she needs a hospital bed I gotta pay co pay on almost everything with the insurance she has .. I'm so heart broken and yet my mimd is flooding with basic worries I shouldn't have to wonder what gonna happen.. I shouldnt have to figure out arrangements and leave my daughter when she needs me most to be able to go back to work .. I'm asking just for a little help... My loving family and friends told me to turn here for help and guidance everything is appreciated anything helps I also come asking for prayers I feel so lost in some ways even hopeless for me and for her for my 3 at home holding it together for us out here .. I can use the help an it's really appreciated u would be saving us in every way thank u all an God bless
