Help Zariah Clarke Through Her Cancer Journey

Donation protected

Hi, we are Zariah's parents. Our names are Stephon Clarke, I'm 30 years old, and Lameisha Clarke, I'm 28 years old. Here is some information about our baby girl, Zariah Clarke. She is 6 years old and would have been starting 1st grade this year. She loves dancing and drawing with her 2 sisters and she loves Roblox.

Our baby girl started having really bad stomach and side cramps that would put her in tears, but we didn't think about anything bad because once her side and stomach stopped hurting, she went back to playing like nothing ever bothered her. But then it kept continuing. This was on July 13, 2024, that we decided to take her to the ER at Piedmont in Athens.

Once we got settled in at the ER, the doctors were saying it was backed up stool so they wanted to run some more tests on her. They did an ultrasound, CT scan and we waited a few more hours after the test was run. So they ended up moving us to another room while still waiting on the results to see if it was backed stool. Another doctor came in and said we found something that's called "Lymphadenopathy" which is a type of cancer.

So after we left the ER in the morning, we were waiting on a call from CHOA to schedule a biopsy to actually see if it was Lymphadenopathy. We ended up getting a call on Monday evening, July 15, 2024, so we got that scheduled and the appointment was the very next day. So we got here Tuesday morning at CHOA at 5:30 am for the biopsy. They did the biopsy and told us they would have results within 48 hours and possibly go home.

But fast forward to Thursday, July 18, 2024, they have confirmed she has Lymphadenopathy and will need to start chemo and will have to have another procedure on July 19, 2024, to put a central line in her chest and to do a bone marrow and membrane sweep. On July 19, 2024, Zariah went back and got her drain tube took out of her belly from her biopsy and got the central line placed in her chest.

So with everything going on, we both had to stop working and we are just asking for help for the medical bills, transportation, rent, and utilities to get us through this. We thank you and we love you. Please continue to keep us in your prayers.
