Help Zari and Zoey Find Their Voices
Donation protected
Hello friends and family,
It's hard to believe it's been 4 years of having the joy of watching Zari and Zoey grow into the wild and wonderful girls they are today.
We're reaching out because we're in need of support to purchase a specialized treatment that will greatly aid in their development.
Please take a moment to read on and learn more about our journey. If you're able, consider supporting us in any capacity - every bit counts, and we're grateful for your love and consideration.
Long Story Short
The Girls' Journey:
Zari and Zoey were born prematurely at 28 weeks and spent 100 days in the hospital receiving intensive care. After finally making it home, the girls had seemed to be progressing normally. However, when they turned 2, their lives took a difficult turn. Both girls received a diagnosis of Level 3 Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), marking the beginning of a journey paved with uncertainty. This diagnosis brought distinct challenges, particularly in their communication and developmental progress. One of the most notable symptoms has been their absence of speech, making it difficult for them to express their needs, wants, and emotions. Furthermore, they've faced delays in reaching basic milestones, necessitating extra support, care, and patience to help them grow and thrive. Other struggles have included: sleepless nights, days of constipation, one of my daughters having traumatizing seizure episodes, among a few of them.
Even their little brothers, Vinny & Bear, wondering why they won't play with them or concerned about why their sisters are acting out in ways that can be worrying.
Seeing my girls struggle, confused, & grow frustrated from being unable to use their voice... is heartbreaking.
What We've Been Doing:
We've recently been blessed to be able to hear their voice start to peak through. They have been sleeping through the night, having consistent bowel movements, having less tantrums that used to last hours, & just overall better regulated.
Their eyes that once would look past you, unaware & uninterested in the people around them, have found a new spark of life.
My girls have always been joy-filled kids, but nowadays they are thriving & eager to grow.
What's Next:
Our ultimate goal is to provide Zari and Zoey with the tools and support they need to reach their full potential. We believe that the specialized treatment we're fundraising for will be a game-changer in their development. This treatment has the potential to continue to enhance their communication skills, foster independence, and bridge the gap between their current abilities and future possibilities.
If you would like to hear more about what the girls and what we’re doing regarding treatment, we would love to speak with you.
Thank you for any & all support.
