Help Zara fund life changing surgery

4 years ago, Zara had a hysterectomy. Unfortunately there were complications and she has been left with 2 hernias, namely her lower intestines and her bowel are hanging outside of her body. Her lungs have dropped down out of her chest as there are no organs to hold them in place. She is so worried for her health and the position she has been left in.

As you can imagine, this is very debilitating for Zara, an active and bubbly person. She is unable to do many things that many would take for granted. There are fears as doctors have advised her that her condition can only get worse.

The only improvement will come from surgery, however there are no doctors in Northern Ireland who will take on her case. She has seen NHS specialists and even gone private. There is only one team of surgeons willing to operate on Zara and they are in London Bridge Hospital. This will cost Zara £22,000 for 4 surgeons to complete the necessary work to save her including a bowel surgeon, a hernia surgeon, an abdominal wall surgeon and a plastic surgeon, to take away the loose skin.

Being such a large amount to raise, we are hoping to support Zara in funding her operation. She would be the first to try and help others. She is the kindest woman and if we can in any way relieve some of the financial stress for Zara as she embarks on this operation, that would be amazing.
