Help Zanzibari youth to study in Turkey!

I, Kevser Kocadag, have been living in Zanzibar for two years. I am working at a university as academic staff since I came here. This year, I have an opportunity to send 29 students to Turkey to study at Karabuk University (UNIKA). The scholarship that we have gotten is a partial scholarship. This means that part of the costs must be paid by the students themselves. However, since 75% of the Zanzibari population lives at (or below) the poverty threshold, our students need some help. I ask from you to support us by donating money, so that by the end of February, we can send these bright students to Turkey.

Each students needs approximately 800 to 1000 euros. This includes their ticket fare from Dar es Salaam to Istanbul, their transport fee from Istanbul to Karabuk city, as well as their visa costs, COVID tests and some allowance.

Salma Salum:
'My name is Salma Salum Ali, I live at Bububu from Zanzibar, I'm 19 years old, my parents are poor and I need to go to Turkey to get knowledge in Karabuk University for the purposes to complete my future because I need to help my parents.If someone happens to help me in my studies so that I can fulfil my dreams it is welcome.'

Abdulhakim Hedar:
'My name is Abdulhakim Saleh Haidar, 32 years, I'm live at Kidonge Chekundu. I'm single, I work at Mnazi Mmoja hospital, I have diploma in general nurse and midwife, I'm the one who is interested for support.'

Hafidh Hemed:
'My name is Hafidh Hemed Khamis, I live in a small island called Pemba in Zanzibar. My purpose of going to Turkey is to get educationin order to help the people of Pemba and Zanzibar. To help them socially, physically, politically, psychologically and economically.'

Maryam Haji:
'My name is Maryam Haji Mwinyi. I live at Kikwajuni. I am 22 yearsold. I want to go to Turkey to study physiotherapy as degree level and master's level too in sha Allah so that I could help other here at Tanzania.'

Omar Abdullah:
'My name is Omar Abdullah Ali, I live at Mombasa in Zanzibar. My father is dead but my mother is alive and she is called Mafunda Hassan Suleiman and she is a house wife. I have completed my secondary studies of Form 4 since 2017 and I got devision one so now I have applied for Turkey scholarship of Karabuk University and I expect to go for studying in order to get education in which it will help me in my life and also to help others through my education and help my country'

Khanifa Mzee:
'I am Khanifa Mzee Said. I was born in Mtwara in Tanzania Mainland. My father is Tanzanian and my mother is Zanzibari. I have completed my studies in Zanzibar, and now that I have this opportunity of going to study abroad, I want to pursue this dream of mine. My goal is to study for nurse and to come back to serve my country.'

Bakar Juma:
'My name is Bakar Juma Bakar I live at Mwera Mtofaani Zanzibar. I live with my ant and uncle, my mother and father all of them died.I need sponsor to help me because my family is very poor and also want to go Turkey for study so I need sponsor to complete the travel and other thing like visa, ticket, medical treatment. I don't have any means to gate the money in order to fulfil the study, please help me insallah God bless you amiin.'
