My name is Zane. I am a third-year (junior) undergraduate college student studying history as my major and music and archeology as minors at La Sierra University in Riverside, CA.

This upcoming summer, I will be going as a volunteer for an archeological excavation in Sicily, Italy, in order to fulfill the last major requirement for my archeology minor. However, because it is being offered outside of my institution, I will have to cover the expenses for travel there and back and for the whole stay over three weeks (June 22-July 15). On top of these expenses, I will also have to register for credit through my institution, which adds thousands more dollars to my tuition costs.

This all comes at a difficult time for me, financially. But I will have to bite the bullet somehow, at least to meet all the requirements for my current program as I reach its end.

Therefore, this GoFundMe is meant to help curtail at least some of those costs. Because I know I need to cover most of the expenses, I am asking whoever is willing to donate however much they'd like; I don't want to ask for too much. This is the first time I'm asking for support in this capacity, but I appreciate any and all contributions. It means so much, especially now.
