Help Za’Mya fight brain cancer
Donation protected
The summer before high school, we all remember it. Stepping into a new world, leaving the “old you” behind, and making memories we will never forget. Our last “hurrah” if you will. My daughter Za’Mya was all too excited to begin this new chapter of her life (and we were excited for her as well). She had just gotten accepted to Mercy Vocational High School and had a fun-filled summer with plans to go to Disney World with her grandmother. This was until her health began to decline rapidly. Weeks before her summer of fun, she began to develop serious health concerns. It started with a loss of appetite, difficulty swallowing, and then began the onset of vomiting and numbness in her right arm. Like any concerned parents, her father and I sought medical attention in an effort to find out why our daughter was experiencing these symptoms. After seeing several doctors, including specialists, and going to emergency hospitals, we were informed of the unthinkable... Cancer. Our incredibly bright, bubbly, and caring daughter was the unfortunate victim of an aggressive high-grade glioma of the brain. Our world was shattered. Torn to pieces... After coming to terms with this diagnosis, we quickly began to realize what it will take to care for our daughter and make sure we can be there for her every step of the way. This meant putting our lives and our careers on standstill while seeking treatment options. While we are more than willing to do this, we know that bills do not come to a halt. Although we do have savings, it is not nearly enough to sustain us in the long term. My husband and I are seeking assistance from compassionate individuals that believe in keeping us financially stable during this difficult time.
The money donated will be used for household expenses, such as our monthly rent, utility bills, car note, car insurance, and other miscellaneous expenses that may occur. We appreciate any donation, as nothing is too small.
