Most of you have met or know of my beautiful, sweet, baby girl Zally. She has suddenly developed an infected wound that has progressed very quickly and developed necrosis within a day. I took her in to get looked at and was told by the vet that she would need to be put under anesthesia to clean and irragte the wound. There is also a high chance that the wound will need to be cut open more to make sure any infection underneath is cleared out. Of course, anesthesia and bloodwork are pricey on their own, so this whole process will end up being over 1k most definitely, plus additional follow up visits and medication. I'm asking for anyone who is in the position to help out and get my baby girl the procedures she needs done as soon as possible. If the infection keeps spreading, sepsis and other life threatening issues can occur. Time is of great importance in this case. This whole situation is very scary for me and all those who love Zally. I am grateful for any financial help that can be given, and emotional support.

Zally Update:

She was able to get her procedure done yesterday evening and is now resting and healing. They cleaned out her wound, drained as much as they could, and cut out the dead tissue. They left the wound open so it can continue draining. They vet did say there is a chance it may need to be drained out again, but that it is a low chance, so fingers crossed that doesnt need done. I have antibiotics and anti-inflammatory medication that she is getting, and of course pain meds. I'm going to do a recheck visit with the vet in a week or so. She was very alert and active this morning as if nothing happened. And of corse, she was very eager for breakfast lol. Thank you everyone for all the donations and emotional support through this! I was able to pay for the surgery completely which was such a relief! I am going to leave the gofund me open for recheck visits, if I have to have her wound drained again, and also cause I did miss 2 days of work while dealing with making sure my baby girl was taken care of.
