Hey everyone,

My friend Zakiya Johnson was diagnosed with Stage 3 colon cancer, and while she’s trying to fight this battle, she’s also dealing with not having medical insurance at the moment. Because she’s between coverages right now, she has to pay out of pocket for things like blood work, treatments, doctor visits, and medications — and it’s becoming a lot.

If you know Zakiya, then you already know the kind of person she is. She’s always the one showing up for people, helping people, checking on everybody else, and being there when somebody needs her. Now it’s time for us to show up for her.

I’m asking from the heart — if you can donate anything at all, it would mean so much. No amount is too small. Even if all you can do is share this or keep her in your prayers, that matters too.

The money raised will help cover:

• Blood work

• Cancer treatments and appointments

• Medications

• Transportation and other medical expenses

Right now, we just want to help take some stress off of her so she can focus on fighting and healing instead of worrying about how she’s going to pay for treatment.
