Help Zak Rebuild After Double Loss
Donation protected
To live in this world
you must be able
to do three things:
to love what is mortal;
to hold it
against your bones knowing
your own life depends on it;
and, when the time comes to let it go,
to let it go.
From “In Blackwater Woods,” by Mary Oliver
Zachry Lauersdorf has loved deeply, and lost deeply. He was a wonderful husband to our daughter until her sudden death almost four years ago. He was able to move on with his life and fell in love with Jennifer, pictured above. They soon learned, however, that she had an aggressive form of cancer. Together, they fought for her life and just over a year after her diagnosis she lost her fight with cancer.
Twice widowed before the age of 33, Zak is faced with rebuilding his life again. The days and weeks away from work and caring for Jennifer has left him financially dry. Your contributions will help him get back on his feet again, and help with any funeral expenses that insurance doesn't cover.
