Help Zak Pull Through

Earlier today, our sweet Zak escaped from our yard was hit by a car in front of my family's home. Though the driver took off, my parents and bystanders were quick to get him to safety. Unfortunately, Zak is fighting for his life right now in critical care at Oradell Animal Hospital in Paramus, NJ.
We are currently in a waiting game to understand whether or not he will pull through. If you know Zak, you know how stubborn he is, so we are crossing our fingers that he wins this fight.
Zak is currently under supervision of extremely kind vets. He has sustained severe injuries to his lower half, and his entire hind leg is crushed. He's needed considerable care so far including a blood transfusion, and there are no guarantees that he makes it through the night. If Zak pulls through, he will need surgery to repair or remove his hind leg.
My family is completely heartbroken due to this sudden accident. My parents would go through great lengths for our 4-legged family, but the care he is receiving/will need has considerable financial implications. Zak's admission required a $6,994 deposit, with a potential to rise to $14,735. Times have not been easy for anyone and due to the times were in and how they've impacted my family financially, I know how grateful they'd be to anyone who sent a note/ donated any amount to help cover his vet expenses.
