Hi, I am Zainab, a Palestinian girl. I live with my family of 7 members in Northern Gaza. I spent the stages of my life conveying the voice of children suffering from persecution in this world by volunteering with many institutions, the most recent of which is Save the Children International, and winning the elections to be an international spokesperson on behalf of childhood in all governorates of Gaza, by meeting with European delegations and holding accountability sessions with decision-makers, at the international and national levels.

Now I am 18 years old. I finished my secondary education with a grade of 95%, and then I enrolled to study the medical specialty at one of the universities in Gaza. After two weeks of studying, on October 7th, I woke up to how quickly life had changed here, as Israel launched a genocidal war against us and destroyed all the universities, in addition to destroying my home, which is my refuge and comfort. They killed my friends and relatives, and my sisters and I were injured in the violent bombing more than once. Our survival was a miracle, and now we are survivors of another war (famine) that Israel deliberately has caused in Northern Gaza since the beginning of the war, where we forced ourselves to eat animal feed and drink polluted water in an attempt to survive.

It breaks my heart that I have resorted to helping myself and my family in this way through your donation to me in this link to try to get out of Gaza and complete my dream of studying, which I have worked hard for throughout the years of my life and to get my family out if I can do so because I have lost everything. I only have them in my life. I am not prepared to lose them. That is my decision. By leaving my homeland after suffering a lot of displacement in search of safety in light of my lack of shelter.

I was displaced at the beginning of the war to Southern Gaza (Rafah), which the Israeli Occupation Force claimed was a safe area. Still, we were bombarded there with America three missiles and an explosive barrels, so I decided to return to Northern Gaza, and that was the most difficult decision because the probability of arriving and surviving was 1%. The most difficult thing was passing the decomposing corpses and children whose blood was filling the road, and I was able to reach my governorate before the ground occupation began and the displacement to relatives’ homes.

Unfortunately, we were bombed again there and miraculously emerged from under the rubble. I sought refuge in schools, and my last refuge was a bathroom in one of the hospitals (Al-Shifa Hospital) because all the places were full of displaced people. We slept for two weeks on the ground without a cover in the cold like the homeless. Israeli army tanks surrounded us many times and deliberately fired explosive bullets at us more than once, wounding those who were with me.

We have gone through difficult times, the genocidal war continues. We are all very tired. If you can help me, do not hesitate. Every dollar makes a difference, even just one dollar! We lost everything we had here. Many experts say it will take 80 years to rebuild Gaza, or perhaps Gaza will never be rebuilt. Leaving Gaza and arriving in Egypt requires 5,000.00 dollars for each of us, plus extra expenses to survive. The breakdown of expenses is at the bottom of this page.

1. Who Is Running This GoFundMe: My name is Justin Shupe. I live in Chico, California, and have known Zainab since 2018 when we met on Instagram when she replied to a comment of mine posted on a Palestinian-Israeli conflict. Since then we've been speaking and have become much like brother and sister. When the attacks of October 7, 2023 occured, she and I have been in contact as much as possible. I led the effort to get her help and help her/her family survive this genocide by sending money for water and food. We have now reached the point where Zainab and her family want to leave Gaza because it is now uninhabitable. So, I am helping her and her family with this GoFundMe upon Zainab's request.

3. What Are The Full Names Of The Individuals You Are Seeking To Aid, Where Are They Located & What Is Your Relationship With Them? Zainab Al-Hawraa Ahmed Abu Salama is my friends full name. Due to her being in Gaza, Palestine she has no access to GoFundMe. This, why I am assisting in earning what money we can in this campaign to leave Gaza and start anew somewhere else.

4. How Will The Funds Be Spent & How Do You Plan To Get Them To The Beneficiary? The funds will be spent by supplying Zainab with the money to rebuild her and her family's lives once they leave Gaza for Egypt. The money will be supplied to them through a money wire transfer by a relative in Egypt. The organizer, Justin Shupe a family friend residing in Chico California, will transfer the funds to a cousin of Zainab’s, Jaber Fattouh in Cairo, Egypt who will assist in organizing the evacuation through paying The Hala Immigration company in Cario, Egypt. Jaber will pay the proper amount needed for emigration for Zainab and her family. Egypt is purportedly making arrangements to relocate Gaza residents, according to the Hala Immigration company in Cario. Today the cost to enter Egypt is at least $5,000 for an adult and $2,500 for a child. Through the process of paying The Hala company, Jaber will submit the required documents and fees once Justin Shupe transfers the money through the process of secured international wire transfer to successfully help Zainab leave Gaza and enter Egypt.

Evacuation costs: $5,000 USD per adult and $2,500 USD per child (totaling $27,500 USD for 4 adults and 3 children)

$5,000 USD to cover living costs for 3 months post-evacuation
