My name is Fatima Wojohat, and I am raising money for a young woman I know in Kabul. Her situation is truly heartbreaking.

She is 18 years old (we are calling her Zainab to protect her privacy) and she has no financial support. Her kidneys have stopped working, and she urgently needs surgery. She is currently hospitalized, but her family cannot afford her medication or ongoing treatment.

Zainab lives in a family of five including her father, mother, twin sister, and a younger sister. Zainab, her mother, and her twin sister assist their neighbors with household work in order to provide food for their family. Zainab has already been deprived of education, and now her life itself is at risk. We should not allow her to be deprived of life as well.

I am not able to raise the full amount needed, but any contribution will help her family cover essential medication and medical care during this critical time.
