My name is Moustafa Idris, and I am creating this GoFundMe to plead for support for one of my dearest friend's family, Zain Nail, who is facing unimaginable challenges in Gaza.
You can follow Zain’s journey on various social media platforms, Instagram, YouTube and TikTok, where she actively shares her experiences and the challenges she faces in Gaza.
Zain's family, consisting of her father, her mother, her 16-year-old brother, an 8 years old sister and Zain, who is 18 years old, has been displaced more than once. Their house was completely destroyed, and the children's future was shattered, with no source of income.
The family has been living in fear and uncertainty, away from their oldest child and only supporter of the family, a 20-year-old son (Muhammad Nail), who left Gaza before Oct/7 last year seeking education. Unfortunately, the escalating violence has made it nearly impossible for Zain’s family to escape without assistance.
I am launching this fundraising campaign to help Zain's family secure the means for them to leave Gaza safely, provide for their immediate needs during this difficult transition, and most importantly, to empower Zain to achieve her educational goals, enabling her to further her studies and support her family.
This journey will not only bring hope and a brighter future for them but also foster greater stability, allowing them to thrive independently rather than relying on aid.
The goal is to raise $50,000, which will cover transportation costs, temporary housing, essential supplies, and to support Zain’s educational expenses.
Every contribution, no matter how small, can make a profound difference.
You can make a difference, not just by donating! Please spread the word about this campaign with your friends, family, and social networks.
I am hoping we can help this family find a path to safety. Your compassion and generosity can change lives.
Zain would like to share with all of you how she plans to use your money to help them overcome this hardship:
- Part of the money will be allocated for food and shelter inside of Gaza.
- A budget of about approximately $1,000 will be allocated for transportation and security services to facilitate safe passage from Gaza to the Egyptian borders.
- Upon arrival at the border, each individual will be required to pay a fee of $5,000 for entry into Egypt.
- A portion of the funds will be allocated for Zain's pursuit of a high-level education, as well as for the school expenses of her younger siblings.
- A portion of the funds will be dedicated to helping the family settle in Egypt, covering essential expenses such as housing, food, and other necessary costs to facilitate their fresh start in this new chapter of their lives.
I made an effort to present the story as concisely and clearly as possible. If you have any questions about Zain’s family situation or any related topics, please feel free to reach out.
Update (March/02/2025):
The conditions in the Gaza Strip after the war are very difficult and have not stabilized yet, as everything has been destroyed: no schools, no universities, no shops, no job opportunities, and many homes have also been destroyed.
Currently, they are in a ceasefire period (a truce from both sides), and this is a temporary stage. No one knows if it will continue until the official end of the war or if the situation will return to what it was.
Life is difficult and unstable, as sometimes there are talks about the idea of displacement, and at other times, there are talks about the reconstruction of Gaza. Whether the situation settles on one of these two decisions, it will take a long time to implement.
All of this is due to the continuous shelling during the war.
Zain and her family still need your donations and support to continue this campaign so that they can afford to find shelter. They also need this money to buy many essential supplies that cannot be obtained through aid. Zain is still hopeful and trying to gather more funds so that she can travel to continue her secondary and university studies along with her siblings as well.
This was and still is her biggest goal: “To build my future with your help and donations, I need this support to overcome life's difficulties and secure a decent life for myself and my family."
*All funds will be securely transferred directly to Muhammad (Zain's brother), who I have been in contact with regarding this donation and who is currently residing in Egypt. He will use these resources and ensure the money gets to his sister Zain inside of Gaza to help their family escape their difficult situation.
