All pet parents can agree that our pets are like our children, and we care for them as such. This past Friday morning, my best friend Dre’s sweet kitty, Zaia, went missing from her home. Hours later, she was finally found terrified, in pain, and unable to properly walk. We still do not know exactly what happened to her while she was gone. What we do know is that Zaia came home injured with a severely broken front left leg.

Zaia is still just a baby, and seeing such a sweet, playful and innocent cat in this pain has been devastating. Zaia is full of love, energy, and personality, but now she is hurting, and facing a long recovery ahead. After taking her to the vet, Dre was told that she will either need an expensive surgery to save her arm or an amputation to prevent further suffering.

As many people know, emergency veterinary care is incredibly expensive and these costs came completely unexpectedly. We are doing everything we can to make sure Zaia gets the care she urgently needs, but we cannot do it alone. Every donation, no matter how small, will go directly toward her medical bills, surgery, medications, and recovery.
