Help Zai (aka: Captain Crunch) Replace His Stolen E-Bike
Donation protected
Hi! This is for my son, Zai, also known as "Captain Crunch" at CoachBallGame. His e-bike was stolen while he was on the job.
Background:
This is not your typical e-bike kid. For starters, he bought his e-bike with his hard-earned money. We believe in teaching our kids the value of working hard for the things they want and owning the responsibility of having those extras in life.
So, over the past few summers, he has worked as a Jr. Coach for this amazing youth camp, CoachBallGame, which he also attended as a younger kiddo years ago. After the campers age out of attending the camp, they can participate as junior coaches to help teach the love of the game, strong character values, and some classic baseball history. We love that he has this opportunity and have been impressed with his discipline to get up early, ride to the park, set up the stations, rake the fields, and coach little ball players as a choice for his summer days! (Not to mention that he comes home and then goes to football practice for 3 hours in the afternoon.) I share all this because he's not lazy, and he's made great choices with his time and energy.
The incident described by my son:
"My bike was parked in the corner of the dugout, covered by my hoodie, my helmet hanging on, and all the other kids' stuff scattered about. It was the last 20 minutes of the day; we were playing the 'Coaches Game,' like we always do. It's the only time of the day that my bike is not within eyeshot. When we came back to the dugout to pack up, my e-bike was gone! I thought the other coaches were messing with me and maybe they moved it, but not so lucky. Call the police, my bike's been stolen!"
Clearly, he has learned the hard way that you cannot be too careful or too cautious.
We appreciate any help for him to save up for another bike, as it has been his tranportation all summer and we were counting on him using it to get to school this year.
