Help Zahraa and her Family Escape the Horrors of Gaza

This campaign is being organized on behalf of Zahra. My name is Maryam and I am launching this campaign as a last resort to rescue Zahra’s family members from Gaza to Egypt.

Here’s Zahra’s story:

Hello, I am Zahra, a member of a beautiful family with 8 members, me, my parents, two brothers, and 3 sisters.

After the 7th of October, we lost everything. under bombings We have been evacuating from one place to another in the last 6 months. We are being starved and dehydrated. We are exhausted and terrified. And we urgently need your support to evacuate Gaza as soon as possible and save our lives.

Before the 7th of October, we had a home and a beautiful garden in Gaza, with many olive trees and various plants of vegetables, fruits, and flowers. Although the situation before the 7th of October was hard, we had crafted a life we could proudly call our own, filled with beauty and warmth. We cherished our humble home and tended to our garden, a testament to my father's unwavering dedication from his childhood to his last breath, striving to carve out a glimmer of hope for us in Gaza. We have succeeded in providing for ourselves through our work, and we were among the few families who managed to carve out a fulfilling and prosperous existence in Gaza.

My father, who has spent most of his life working tirelessly to provide for us, is now faced with the daunting task of rebuilding everything from scratch. At the age of 50, he should be enjoying the fruits of his labor, but instead, he is grappling with the harsh realities of war and displacement.

Even though our house still stands, we are unable to return to it due to the dangerous conditions in our area. because of war and the Israeli army's refusal to get back to the north of Gaza, and left us stranded in the south at Rfah, where we live in constant fear of being bombed at any moment.

Because of all that, now everything is gone, and even the chance to start from zero is gone. We lost everything.

Fatema AlZahraa is a clinical nutritionist and master's student, but I couldn’t continue my studies because my university was bombed. I'm the second of the top students in my subject, and I was been on a student exchange scholarship by Erasmus. I volunteered at Alshifa Hospital in Gaza, but the hospital also has been attacked and get destroyed.

Amjed, my brother, is a dentist student in his 3rd year, and one of the top students in his subjects at his college--his college which was also bombed and now he is forced to restudy again from the beginning and leave his dream and hard work behind.

Aya is in her last year in high school--her high school which was also bombed. She was so excited to get high scores, but now her dreams have also been taken from her.

Along with my two sisters, Areeg and Sama, the three of them have been the top students in their schools with big dreams.

Jad, my 2-year-old brother is traumatized from the sounds of bombings and shootings, gets scared even by small noises, and has sleeping problems.

Because of all that, now everything is gone, and even the chance to start from zero is gone. We lost everything

To secure an exit through the Rafah border, each family member has to pay $7k-5k to Hala Company to facilitate their exit to Egypt also they even add more benefits to expedite our application. All remaining costs will go towards securing accommodation, visa/travel documents, and any other expenses until we can hopefully apply for a visa to a different country from Egypt.

The total to evacuate all my family is a minimum of £80,000, and I am asking for your help covering at least £60,000.

The situation in Gaza remains uncertain, terrifying, and dangerous. Your support means the world to my family and me.
