We are raising $10,000 for Zahra Sckak.

Zahra recently lost her husband, her home, and all her possessions in Gaza. I've known Zahra's eldest son since he was just a 15 year old boy who escaped Gaza in 2014. Sadly, Fadi has been unable to rescue his family still in Gaza, but managed to save his mother with the help of many people around him.

The story of Zahra's rescue out of Gaza is truly something out of a novel and has since caught international attention in the Washington Post as well as many other news outlets.

Fortunately, Zahra arrived in Egypt just last week where she is receiving medical attention for her injuries. However, in order to bring her to the US to be with her son in California, we need to raise at least $10,000 more.

A small group of us managed to raise about $5,000 USD to get her and her family safely to Egypt and house them until she can come to the US next month. Due to financial hardship on her son, she needs your generous support to pay for travel, food, temporary housing, clothing, and medications.

Her loss will never be filled, but our goal is to make her as whole as possible in the short term to ease her burden. For that reason, our target is $10,000 to hold her over until we can find her the social services she needs so she can return to a normal life.
