Several years ago Zahra Nazai created a business in Bamiyan, in central Afghanistan. There she employed other women to help create and sell traditional clothing.
Zahra employed 15 women, and in 2017 and 2018 was named best businesswoman and best entrepreneur and became the chairperson of the Bamiyan Businesswomen Association. The Mirror wrote about her entire story here.
After a harrowing experience of waiting for days at the Kabul airport, standing in the sewage at the airport for hours, and being taken through the airport gate just before the bomb exploded, she and her mother and her sister are now in the United States starting a new life having brought nothing with them.
Please help them start building their life again. Thank you.
