Help Zahara Breathe Freely Again

Donation protected
Our daughter Zahara (7 years old) was born with VACTERL Syndrome, which is a condition of multiple associated anomalies. For her, she has hemivertebrae (congenital scoliosis), laryngeal stenosis, TEF (tracheoesophageal fistula), and tracheomalacia (soft/floppy trachea). Recently, we found out during a routine bronchoscopy procedure that her tracheomalacia has worsened and has now collapsed, nearly shutting her airway. This means medical management is no longer helping and she is now in need of surgical intervention. The surgical procedure is called an Anterior Tracheopexy, which will be done by opening the chest and going through the sternum to gain access to the trachea. They will then attach the trachea to the spinal bone so the trachea will remain open and resolve any future recurrence of the trachea collapsing. This entire procedure will require a whole team of specialists working together to make sure everything goes smoothly. Since finding this out, Zahara has not been able to run or exert herself to avoid undergoing any respiratory distress. She has been needing frequent breathing treatments and keeping her body at rest. We, as parents, are doing all we can to keep her stable until surgery.

Our goal is to raise up to $10,000 to help pay for Medical Expenses. Help us get our daughter the surgery she needs to be able to run and play again. Help us give our daughter the childhood every kid deserves. Any donation, no matter how small, is greatly appreciated in helping us reach our goal. Thank you and God bless!
