Hi, my name is Betty and I’m starting this GoFundMe for my nephew, Zack. Zack is facing a critical health challenge, and we are hoping to ease the financial and emotional burden so he can focus on his recovery.

Zack’s Story

Zack has been fighting his illness with courage and determination for the last 2 years! Recently, he began immunotherapy, which showed some partial response, but his doctors have now determined that a stem cell transplant is the only curative option.

The transplant is scheduled for the last week of October, with Zack admitted to the hospital the week before. He will spend 4–6 weeks in the hospital, followed by intensive follow-up care for at least 100 days, including twice-weekly hospital visits. During this time, he cannot be left alone overnight, and recovery will be gradual, with hopes of returning to more normal energy levels around six months. Zack will be on unpaid leave from work for at least a year, possibly longer, as he focuses on healing. The transplant is high-risk, and recovery will be long.

The goal is to help Zack reach two years without cancer returning, giving him the best chance at a full recovery.
