I’m Laura - Zack’s mum and Zack is a joyful, determined little boy in our preschool family who lives with Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) - a rare condition that affects his muscle strength and mobility.

Right now, Zack is ready to explore more of the world around him, but he needs the right tools to do it.

We're raising £5,000 to buy Zack his very first manual wheelchair - a properly fitted, lightweight chair that will give him the independence to move, play, and join in with his friends more fully. If we raise over the amount we need anything extra will be used for specialist physiotherapy.

The NHS offers some support, but the options are limited and don't meet Zack's specific needs. His family want to get him the right chair — one that suits his size, offers good postural support, and will last him a while — but it comes at a cost.
