Hello, I'm Zack and this is my cat Smokey. 7 years ago I heard a cat meowing outside of where I was working. I told myself if that cat was still there when when my shift ended it was coming home with me. 6 hours later, still there meowing and sure enough, he came home with me. He was a pound and a half.

This cat has been the greatest companion to me. Every day when I'd get home from work and lay on the bed, he'd lay on my chest and rub his face against my chin.

I miss him so much. I'm lost without him and there have been having a lot of unexpected expenses due to all this.

First we looked everywhere, literally everywhere that would make sense and again every day for weeks, at all hours if the day and night. Posted fliers, searched with a drone with a thermal camera, bought a drone to continue searching, thermal lens too for searching from the ground, bought and set a have a heart trap with a trail camera but only managed to catch other stray cats and a possum.

All of this is getting expensive and any help would be greatly appreciated. The more flyers I put up, the more they keep getting ripped down or damaged by bad weather. I've gone through a ridiculous amount of tape, staples, ink, paper and laminating pouches. Maybe he's dead by now but I havent found or smelled anything dead and he was 20lbs the last I saw him so I think I would have found something by now. I won't give up on him and I'll continue to go broke doing so. I love him more than anything.
