In April of 2026, Zach felt unwell. We sought the local emergency room for what we thought was a routine illness. Our lives abruptly changed as the doctor diagnosed Zach with FLT3 Acute Myeloid Leukemia at 25 years old.

In a three-week span, Zach fought endlessly through hundreds of tests and his first of many rounds of chemotherapy. His fight continues today as we endeavor our third round of chemotherapy and await our bone marrow match.

Our next 5 months include an extensive medical journey to receiving & recovering from a bone marrow transplant through the Fred Hutch Cancer Center in Seattle, Washington. To facilitate this fight, we will temporarily relocate to Seattle from Coeur D’Alene, Idaho.

We intimately understand the strain cancer has on a family and realize we are unable to do this journey alone. Therefore, we ask anyone who is able to consider supporting our medical expenses as we fight. Housing and the transplant cost amount to a significant out-of-pocket expense for us; any amount will ensure Zach can receive the care he needs. We are forever grateful for your support.
