This is our fellow franchise owner, Zach Walter. Just like all of us, he bought into the dream we are all chasing in this business but unfortunately Zach was diagnosed with cancer shortly after starting his new service franchise....ALMOST taking everything he had built. He beat the cancer...then it came back. This time requires a more intense treatment that will require his entire family to uproot their lives and be away from their home for three months or more.
Here's a little update I stole from his wife's (Danni) Facebook:
"Zach update
He's currently on another round of chemo, "remission" is the goal before moving forward. The relapse in October proved that leukemia was still hiding out deep in his bone marrow- despite being medically considered in "remission". More intensive and aggresive procedures are the next step and it's a lot to process. It's easy to let fear and doubt creep in when we think about the months ahead. Zach will be hospitalized and isolated, unable to work, and weakened from the chemo. For 3 months he will be away from the comforts of home. Being a small business owner, Zach carries the entire load of working and running our business. Being forced to step away is incredibly stressful. He has been the sole provider as I care for Elowyn and homeschool Noah and Shiloh. We know God brought us to this, and will get us through this and we're trusting in Him. We appreciate the prayers. "
Zach is a great man and deserves to be a part of this Premier and Pinnacle Family and I know that we can absolutely keep he and his family going through this hard time until he can get back on feet and on his route!!!!
Thank you everyone!
