Zachary Grannis Medical Expense

This is Zach’s Mom, Jan.

This past Monday, August 2nd, Zachary was injured at work. While weed eating a rock was thrown into his left eye and a piece of the weed eater string went into his eye. That night they performed emergency surgery on his eye. He is scheduled for his second surgery tomorrow morning at 7am. We are told this will take at least 3 to 4 more surgeries to try and save the eye and keep his sight. The string went through his cornea, lens and into the retina area. Tomorrow they will be getting more debris from his eye and injecting antibotics into the retina for infections, seeing how much more damage there is and trying to cleanup the area they sewed on his cornea.

At the moment he is unable to see out of his left eye.

Zachary would never ask for help but I will. He will not be able to work for at least a few months and does not have insurance. We have already encountered a lot of medical out of pocket and even more to come.
