Hi my name is Shannon, I am Zachary‘s aunt. My brother Christian, and his wife Melody started noticing that Zachary was being very lethargic and he was throwing up. They thought he had a stomach bug, but took him to the doctor to get checked out on Tuesday night. He ended up getting a CT scan where they saw that his stomach and bowels were dying and they did not know the cause. The doctors at lone Peak hospital told them that they needed more qualified surgeons so he was transferred with lights and sirens in extremely critical condition to University hospital where he underwent emergency surgery all night and into Wednesday morning. When they finished, they were unable to close him up, so he has been in the ICU on a ventilator in extremely critical condition with only a dressing covering his open stomach cavity. Today he has taken a downturn and was just rushed in for a second emergency surgery.

Christian and Melody are no strangers to taking care of this sweet boy – but this is extremely critical and if he survives there will be months and months of living out of a suitcase at the hospital as well as time in a rehab facility. All funds will go to support Zachary‘s medical bills, as well as support Christian and Melody while they are caring for Zachary . Christian will need to take time off of work and he is the sole breadwinner in their home at the moment. Anything that you can do to help would be so so appreciated.
