Hi my name is Miranda, I'm fundraising for my boyfriend Zach. He was on his way home on his motorcycle Saturday morning when an on coming car swerved into his lane last minute, causing him to ram his motorcycle and launch him into the opposite end of someone's yard. He broke both his feet, broke his ankle, pelvis, a rib, and right toe. He also shattered his knee cap and his femur, has a cracked sternum, stitches on his chin along with road rash, bruises and lacerations across his body and has to be on oxygen to prevent pneumonia because his lungs are bruised. With his body going through such a severe trauma pneumonia can kill him right now so he has to be constantly breathing deep.

His first surgery was Sunday afternoon called External fixation, metal pins or screws are placed into the bone above and below the fracture site. The pins and screws are attached to a bar outside the skin. He lost some blood and his platelets dropped and needed a total of 4 blood transfusions to stabilize his blood.

His second surgery Friday if the inflammation goes down enough to put interior pins and rods in his Femur and possibly pins in his foot and ankle. The bones will be healed and possibly able to work, he Ubers for work, in 6-8 weeks.

I'm currently pregnant, due December 31st, and we also have an almost 2 year old daughter that's been asking none stop about Daddy and will most likely not be able to see him on her 2nd birthday due to COVID regulations at the hospital. He's also heavily medicated and had a hard time talking to her through video chat when we tried. I stopped working in October because he made more money with me at home and has been paying all the bills. Any amount will help.
