Help Zach Moon fight for his Life

Zachary Moon had a horrific motorcycle accident last Wednesday night. He was traveling home as he usually does about every night. For reasons we are not sure of he was forced off the side of the road and struck two trees. While he was unconscious the motorcycle caught fire as he laid beneath it. He received third and forth degree burns from the waist down. The pain woke him and he pulled himself free of the bike. He did all this even though he had suffered a compound fracture to his right femur, a broken arm, multiple internal injuries along with a traumatic brain injury. He laid on the side of the road for almost an hour while he was bleeding because the fracture ruptured his main artery in his thigh. A car driving by miraculously found him and called 911. Because his injuries were so bad Life Flight flew him almost hundred miles to UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill NC. They rushed him into emergency surgery that lasted almost eight hours. They repaired three tears in his small intestine. And worked to repair the damage to his right leg. Unfortunately his lower right leg had gone too long without blood flow. They had to take his leg from above the knee yesterday. It was starting to make him sick. During the same surgery they also worked on his burns to his right thigh and entire left leg. They had to remove all the skin and fat all the way to the muscle and five to eight percent to the bone. He has a very long and painful road to recovery. His parents have been there with him through the entire ordeal. They have no income coming in to pay for lodging, travel costs, meals ect. Zachary is looking at a long hospital stay not to mention outpatient care and he will need the use of a prosthetic leg. I know this seems to be a long story but this has happened to this twenty-two year old young man in a weeks time. This is going to be a long trying jouney for Zachary and his family.
