Hi, my name is Mary Beth Fahy and I am helping one of my employees to raise money to help fight his cancer diagnosis.

Zach Linstrom has been a Marshall Medical Center Food Service Employee in Placerville, Ca. for almost 18 years. Zach works in the cafeteria and remembers everyone’s name. If Zach is not working, his regulars always ask, "Where is he?" His mother, Merry, describes him as a fun loving, big hearted caring guy. Zach is always in a good mood; he laughs easily and brings a light-heartedness to all he meets. That light-heartedness is especially important in a hospital where staff and families deal with traumatic and emotional issues daily. His efforts help everyone get through their day.

He follows all sports, but the Raiders and Dodgers are his favorite teams. He will happily debate the merits of his favorite teams with anyone who loves sports too.

He is the proud father of 2, Elena and Anthony.

Zach has dealt with Cerebral Palsy (CP) all his life and when offered his job at Marshall, because of his disability, he had to be examined and declared fit for duty. He aced those exams and quickly became a favorite employee of all.

If dealing with CP wasn’t enough, he is now facing a new challenge with a diagnosis of colon cancer. Unfortunately, his cancer has metastasized to his bones, and he has a huge fight against this cancer on his hands.

His outlook is positive, and he feels that he will beat this, but it will take some time, maybe a lot of time. His family, friends and coworkers are standing beside him on this journey.

As expected, Zach is experiencing many expenses and could use some financial help. Our goal is to raise $20,000 for him to help him beat this horrible disease.
