Hi everyone- I’ve ran into some trouble lately with my car. When one thing goes wrong, it all seems to go wrong. About 6 months ago I replaced the alternator in my car after not driving it for months. I was then able to get back on the road for food delivery as my main job. This spring my O2 sensor went out but it wasn’t the most urgent issue so I put it off for a bit. I drove to Washington this summer for my niece’s graduation and didn’t realize my fairly new tires were over inflated and when I got back, the front ones were bald. Then my brakes were grinding badly so my little spare funds I had went to replacing my pads. I then started to hear a clicking noise when I turned and have been told my cv joint needs to be replaced soon as it can break and cause the wheel to go horizontal and is very dangerous. With all these repairs, I am in over my head and it is not safe to drive my car too much. I need my car for about half of my income as my other job isn’t enough to survive at the moment. Without my car to make money, I can’t afford to fix it. I have fallen behind on rent this month as well, late fees are piling on and I’m worried as the first approaches again. At this point I’m putting all my income towards rent and bills and there is nothing left for the repairs or my family to live normally. I am supposed to start a new job in the next week or two but it will be a while be awhile before the pay come for that. It is also in Belgrade so I won’t be able to make the commute for very long with my vehicle. As you can see, I’m at a loss for where to go from here. If you can help me out at all, that would be great! I need to get back to driving safely for me and my daughters. Thank you for your time and whatever you can do to help!
