Help Zach Baker Fight Lymphatic Cancer
Donation protected
Zach Baker has been diagnosed with an aggressive form of Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma. At only 35 years old and with almost no symptoms, this news came as a shock to Zach and his family.
At the beginning, he experienced a shoulder pain and the doctors were unable to identify the cause. A few weeks later, he collapsed twice and was taken to the emergency room. The doctors identified an "impressive" mass in his chest that was pressing on his lungs and main artery. A biopsy was performed, but before the results came in Zach's health rapidly declined. A check-up with his PCP for additional flu-like symptoms sent him to Cleveland Clinic. After more tests, doctors discovered there was substantial fluid building around his heart and lungs. The fluid around his heart was drained, and he required a bi-pap machine to aide his breathing. The family received the news that Zach has Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma and that the treatment will be as aggressive as the lymphatic cancer is.
The month of September 2023 has been a difficult one: beginning with some shoulder pain and ending with a cancer diagnosis.
Zach is a kind and caring person, who all too often puts others before himself. He is the world to his fiancée, Casey Schultz, and is the eldest brother to three younger siblings who he helped raise as they grew up. We all want to support him and help him fight this battle he's on.
Not only has this diagnosis taken a mental and emotional toll on Zach and his family, but the financial worry is great. He is the primary provider of his household. He and his fiancé live paycheck-to-paycheck, and there is large concern for how they will stay afloat while Zach is out of work throughout his upcoming cancer treatment.
These funds will go directly to Zach and Casey to support incurring medical costs as well as regular monthly expenses.
We thank you for your support, and for keeping Zach and his family in your thoughts & prayers!
