Zaahir, my son, was born three months premature, which caused him to have bilateral sensorineural hearing loss. He has been wearing hearing aids since he was about nine months old, and his journey has been filled with challenges and triumphs. Recently, Zaahir lost his replacement pair of hearing aids, and unfortunately, my insurance will not cover another pair. This means I have to pay out-of-pocket for his new hearing aids, which is a significant expense for our family.

Zaahir will be turning three on the 28th of this month, and he will be starting pre-K soon. It is so important for him to have a new pair of hearing aids before he begins school, as they are essential for his speech development and his ability to navigate everyday life. The funds raised will go directly towards paying Children’s Hospital for his new pair of hearing aids, ensuring that Zaahir has the support he needs to thrive in his early years.
